I understand, I don't enjoy it when people steal other artist's work either.

All is forgiven. Tongue

So to get this back on the 3D posting track... here's a Kirby I did for a 1 hour challenge to put on the cgspheres website (a site where you have to make a 3d image using only a sphere as the base)

I did make everything in this image... (minus actually being the creator of Kirby or anything...)  Cheesy

This was a really simple image to do but I also had to do this when I was new to 3D and with an hour time limit, so I thought it turned out pretty good for the minimal 3D knowledge I had at the time.

I was only allowed to put the picture I made for a guildie up on the art thread if I agreed to put a version of this model (work in progress) up as well. It's a goblin!

I know the face above the nose still looks a little funky, might have to tweak the faces there until it will smooth properly. Fun will start with texturing and rigging. XD

everything in this thread is so good aaa.

i've been making some lowpoly stuff in wings 3d as a kind of intro to modelling recently.

the chin could use some work and i still haven't got the hang of making faces which are not just mspaint textures on flat surfaces but im working on it! his expression is meant to signify: conflict

Started this a long ass time ago, decided a week or two ago that I should finish it. I now need to texture it but I don't want to Sad

It's Black from Tekkonkinkreet, btw:

Why don't you want to texture it? From the look of the source art, it should be pretty easy!

Looking good Willy! There's some nice details in there.

To celebrate the 3D thread getting stickified, I whipped up a model of someone you may know:

Is it bad that I like that model one more than the one they're using in the actual 3DS game?  Cheesy

I'm not sure where else to put this, but this guy's working on creating procedurally generated content. Not just PCG terrain, but buildings too- the church in this image is created by a random assemblage of prefabricated pieces. Pretty amazing stuff.

I like that quote model up there because it stays true to his original low-res representation.  Smiley

I don't have a serious problem with the 3DS's Quote, but his eyes seem really weird to me.

This is nice. Smiley I also like this one (not by me), for those who haven't seen it. More lo-fi.

Only just seen the 3DS one - his eyes are indeed weird.

Ta for the link to that procedural stuff Theo, very cool!
