Two entries of the RGCD C64 Cartridge Competition 2012: http://www.rgcd.co.uk/2012/12/rgcd-c64-cartridge-development.html.

As one is heavily inspired by Forget Me Not, the other by NES Zelda I'd like to know what you think about them.

Every entry had to fit into a 16kB cartridge, so obviously compromises had to be made. Both files are cartridge images, so you need an emulator and need to attach the cartridge (for WinVICE drag/drop does NOT work, you need to File->Attach cartridge image->CRT image)

Hey Endurion,

I played Wonderland a bit and I like the graphics and the music and I think the gameplay is simple, but pretty solid. I was especially pleased by the size of the map you were able to squeeze into these 16k.

Also, I like that there're sound effects. It does not really hurt when one voice vanishes for a second. Cool!

Just one thing: I know, 16k, yada yada yada... but an attack animation helps to improve the feel of control significantly. So just in case you want to push out a "plus" version or something, here's an edit:

old - "plus"

Thanks, that does look better!

There will be a bigger version, just not in the next few weeks. I had to drop quite a bit of intended things Wink
Catnipped will be the next, and then probably Hyperion.

Also, you cheated. There is no straight sword in the old part Wink
