Yeah Smiley HUD will also have a collection thing in the top-left, and a timer in the top-right. But the collection thing will only show after you've grabbed something, and disappear after a few seconds, and the timer display can be turned on/off in the pause-screen options Smiley actually, the whole HUD can be turned off in the pause options if you like it that way (but you gotta keep track of your own HPs Tongue)

Each time you get hit, one of the bones fall down Smiley

Excellent work, guys! This still looks great. And the scanlines are lovely! Will you be doing anything with the ground tiles, though? While I kind of like the flat look, it does seem kind of unfinished.

Not this one you haven't Grin I re-wrote the whole thing from scratch, and it's much smoother now, and Skullboy has a few different moves Smiley

Yeah, they were unfinished. I failed several times at making a suitable ground tile, so I just made a plain one until inspiration hit. Just yesterday, it did, and I made a nice rocky one Smiley with some pointers from Carn. Still needs touching up, but it looks way better already.

Yeah, he leaves images whenever he does something really fast, such as kicking off a wall, dashing, long-jumping, or (as in the shot) doing a slam attack.


So today the internet elves will come to my apartment and do their magic, so I'll be officially online as of this evening Smiley that is good news.

Also, today I finished the first boss (a mid-stage boss, actually). I may drop a screen of that tonight. I also am just about finished the level editor for one of the many bonus minigames that the main stages will feature Smiley

Mid-bosses are also cool (unless they're the crappy ones from Kirby 64)!.

1) The poor pig has elephant feet, instead of pig-type-hooves. That'll be fixed.
2) The ground tiles are updated, but now the grass looks lame in comparison, so needs fixed.
3) You'll notice that the pig speaks in his own font Smiley that'll be a common occurrence in Skullboy. Some characters will even have their own unique speech bubbles or ways of talking.
