Yeah, I have no idea.  All I've done so far is cook up a platformer base.

Any good ideas or progress yet?

I made a megaman-like platforming engine. So not much progress.

EDIT: I think I'm gonna scrap it for a new idea, so no progress I guess.

EDIT2: Nevermind I'm keeping it.

I'm kind of sick of making platformers, and this theme lends itself better to strategy/god games anyway. Have some decent ideas cooking up already.

Yup. Threw away the most obvious ideas, then played around a bit with the idea of a naturally evolving city/kingdom which you only affect by changing sliders to steer development, now I have an idea that should be possible to make in 48 hours and should be fun to play and develop:

Think of a Pokemon-like combat-focused RPG, except you have more moves for use in battle and a theoretically infinite number of traits that modify stuff in battle. You gain XP through battle as usual, but you never level up. Instead, you start with the default move, a random element, a random move and a random trait. You have to contact other players for their creature's name, then you can look up their creature in the game and spend your XP to learn one move or one trait of that player's creature. This way, you keep evolving your creature further and further by gaining XP and checking out other players' creatures.

I- I thought you were JWK5 or something when I first read this. Not sure how that happened, but it's a compliment I guess???

I still have no ideas for this...

I waked up sometime ago. I don't have any good doable ideas yet.

all i want is an evo clone
Heh, I'd do that if it wouldn't take so much time and graphics to make.

Nice theme... I wonder how many flOw clones we'll end up with.
I am making a flOw clone. Initially I thought I was cloning Spore's first stage, but then I realized Spore cloned flOw first. I have some new ideas to add, so hopefully it won't seem like a total rip off.

First draft of a tune I'm working on for our jam! I'm shooting for a kind of C418, Érik Satie kind of vibe.

Not entirely sure that it'll wind up fitting the setting we're going with, but we're not completely set yet so maybe I can convince my partner to make a switch Smiley

Lemme know if you dig it, guys! Might make a decent relaxing tune to listen to while programming this weekend Smiley

Anyone think is weird to make a game that looks educational, but at the same time dynamic and funny?

Btw, is about the alphabet, but using a human with movements and poses that resembles the alphabet characters and you have to press the right character as fast as you could Tongue

Sounds delightfully weird.

I'm afraid I didn't get any doable idea, so I guess I have to drop out Sad
