Shiiiiiiiiiet, how did I miss this? Great offer, man, seriously. Now with all these people having their foot in the door, I might need to start undercutting. Edit: OK OK 3 euros!

The first page was really great. Now it's spiralling.
Darkhog, $5 is very low. Sometimes people do work for free, if they like you, because they are bored. But your attitude suggests you're offering a professional deal. So people are making fun of you. They are being playful.

Also, you seem to have a very poor understanding of how jobs/money/consumer goods work.
Bungie sells Halo for $60. People working on Halo make far more than $60 for their work.

According to Wikipedia 350 people worked on Halo 4. That makes 0.17$ per employee. Let's say about half of the costs go to advertising and stuff. That would mean everyone in the development team got about 0.08$ for the whole 3 years of development. Seems reasonable.

Except they have full-time jobs. This is one-off contract, I have all other assets I need, the only thing I can't make look good is that stupid titlescreen.

Perhaps if we could see some of the other assets it would assist in making something which was tonally cohesive with them? I, for one, relish the opportunity to make a cool £3.04.

The fact that those artists had a secure salary makes your asking price that much worse -- As a freelancer you have to charge more per hour than someone on salary to make up for the tax losses and the times when no jobs are available. If you want a quality title screen it's going to take over an hour to make. Even at 1 solid hour of work you are still only offering $5 for the full hour of work, the minimum wage in Texas (where I live) is $7.25/hr. Do you understand now why your price is so offensive to us artists? You get what you pay for, and the $5 you are offering got you the title screen Tony Coculuzzi made. Now pay up!

Really? Then how comes I've only seen some gay rainbow, seizure inducing shit so far with no indication that anyone is working on actual offer?
You care about seizure problems but you're using the word gay as if it's something bad. What the fuck is wrong with you man. Get a perspective, pay money. The best you can get with such an attitude is this.

Whole games are sold for $5. Graphics, consecutively should cost less.
By that logic, for each copy you sell, you should give the title screen artist a percentage.

Maybe... But so far no one came up with actual offer.

Jochum Skoglund (Hammerwatch) once offered me $20 to make him an original enemy design sprite with 8 directions plus idle, walking and attacking animations.
He argued that for his bosses sprites, he had paid $30 each. Since he liked my work (his words), he agreed to pay me $50. That made no sense... Still, i obviously refused.
I have Skype messages to prove it.
