It would be nice to be able to adjust each ride's speed as well, so that perhaps a higher speed provides a more thrilling ride, but makes it break down faster...
(and perhaps on the limit, rides would bend and buckle a bit, depending on passenger load, ultimately resulting in a kill)
...and then of course, when it comes to slow, scenic rides, a higher speed produces a less thrilling ride, but enables more customers per hour instead.
It's like the salt and suger micro management of the snacks in the original, only for the rides.

Names Roller Co. Tensile Wood and Steel Noisepark Fireloop (sounds like a mobile startup but w/e) Russian Mountains (transliteration of the french word for rollercoaster) Switchback (transliteration of the german word for rollercoaster i think) Also, can't forget Doradoradora (the only discernable phrase that RCT crowds would say every now and then)

Today is exciting, because we finished adding the first flat ride! Here's also a vine of it for a bit of a smoother look: https://vine.co/v/MdOV7K1h9pX"I want to go on something more exciting than Scrambled Eggs 1"

You mean, custom 3D models? No plans for that currently, as I don't know yet how to get them into the game with Unity. Would be great though! Just don't wanna promise it. Alliteration makes it sound better i think
I agree! We're also trying to keep the name rather short. Our current favorite is CoasterCorp, how does that sound?

I'm afraid I have slightly different associations for the word "Coaster" ... and I'm not talking about the drink that's being depicted.

CoasterCorp is a bit of a mouthful to try and say and I personally feel that having a name that includes Corp or Inc and such makes it seem a bit stuffy.
I think it would be quite good to call it the name of either the park itself, or a particular ride within a park - one of the higher level pre-made rides you can buy later in the game, rather than trying to try and fit the word Rollercoaster into the name. I'm imagining it as trying to name the theme park itself, rather than the game.
Looking at a list of amusement park names, the words "world", "land" and "park" come up quite a lot, but more specific theme parks have more specific things like "towers" and "island", depending on the terrain?

Yeah, we'd like to use the name of the fictional theme park (chain) as the name of the game, but everything we came up with so far sounded incredibly cheesy. I think the problem is that we're looking for a name that: - says it's a game about theme parks - says it's a business simulation - is not too long - sounds good (alliteration?) - hasn't been used and doesn't sound similar to previous games in the genre - works as the name of a fictional theme park chain That might be too many constraints Exploring the terrain route might be worth a try...

Ups & Downs
Doesn't really fit all your requirements, but it describes both the actual roller coasters and the running of the business.

That's a pretty clever double entendre. I like it.

Unfortunately it's harder to support mods with Unity than it could be. Asset Bundles are the standard way to package and import data into already-compiled Unity projects, but they're only available in Unity pro and therefore not a good choice for mod support. It'd be great if Unity added support for exporting asset bundles in Unity free, and just kept the ability to import them to Unity pro, but that's unfortunately not currently how it is. So at the moment if you want to support modding you have to implement your own import pipeline. e.g. When Kerbal Space Program imports 3D models, they have their own importer code where they generate the meshes themselves. Unity's built-in 3D model importing is inaccessible without Asset Bundle export support.

Roller World SUPER Roller World
Those are pretty cool - but they don't give off the immediate idea that it's a roller coaster game. Though if the name is meant to be some kind of series name then I'd say this could work.
