www.EitrTheGame.com"Eitr" is from Norse mythology, it is a black poison substance that corrupts whoever or whatever it comes into contact with. The story of the game is based around the world tree, Yggdrasil, the connector of the 9 Norse worlds, which becomes poisoned with Eitr, spewing darkness into each world. - Walk and run cycles.- Cutscene Artwork Eitr is an Action RPG which takes inspiration from games such as Path of Exile, Dark Souls and Diablo. The game will be challenging and require timing and precision to progress through the environments. Players will need to use a combination of blocking, combos, buffs and positioning to succeed in battle. - Some GIF's of our combat system. --- PRESS COVERAGE

Irkalla tier artwork here. +1 for Action RPG.
One minor thing is: I think the animation for the upward strike a bit weird. Might just be me, tho.

Haha,thanks.
You're correct, it is the animation for when her attack is repelled by a shield, we're using frames from the attack animation to do this and I actually forgot to remove the slash effect from it before posting it here - good eye sir!

looks alright, sounds even better. I hope the plot goes to places with a mythological setup like that.
it does vaguely remind me of darksiders 2, tho... the plot part, that is.

Fantastic, the art and the animations are beautiful! Are you going to add special abilities the player can learn while playing the game? I'm going to keep an eye on this.

Thank you! In answer to your question, yes! We'll post more information on this in the near future, but I can tell you that there will be active, passive and aura-style abilities.

Looks really cool, I'd be interested in trying it out.
The movement kind of looks like you're stuck where you're standing and you move slowly. Perhaps you could implement a forward dash and backdash (if that's not already there). This is how a lot of fighting games work.

Thank you BLAMBO, I've seen your work on 9 monsters, really top notch art! Looks really cool, I'd be interested in trying it out.

Cheers! A small note on your observation on movement speed, during the examples I have shown I was blocking a lot I really wanted to show off our block exchange combat system, in Eitr blocking drastically reduces your movement speed aswell as enemies movement speeds. When you're not blocking you are able to move at a faster pace, you can also run too! I'll post up her run cycle later today. I'll get back to you on dashing soon.

I'm only being picky because it looks so good already: I find it weird that her sword arm doesn't move when she's running. That doesn't look natural.
Also, the image doesn't really give me an indication of the distance you move, just the way you look while you move.

Looks great already. Just one thing though: it looks a bit strange to me that when she's running the dress is not moving...
