This is late, but thank you Katamaran! I'm still accepting backers via paypal for any parties that are interested in getting stuff in the game, but besides that I'm going to look into getting a preorder thing up for anyone interested (a bit late...)

Hashed out a scenario select UI, concept doodle to finished product!

One of the Kickstarter stretch goals was a Gameboy palette shader (completely conceived and requested by backers) and I just recently implemented it. I added a few more alternate palettes on top of that, too.

In order: Original, Juicy, Pastel, GB, NES

There's already a few more alternate palettes done that aren't showcased yet! One of my favorites is one that makes colors totally different but maintains the luminosity levels and relations between colors- the inspiration for it is the alternate palette unlocked by beating the secret world in Super Mario World.

Click above for a video of Special Attacks, a feature I was afraid I wasn't going to get around to doing. They're a lot of effort to put together but I think they're totally worth it. The video exhibits special attacks that don't correlate with the current player character, but it's just for test purposes.

WIP asset for another character's special attack:

Made a snazzy lore system for collecting documents that you read throughout the playable scenarios:

And a gif of the petal place in the video above:

Backed this when it was back on kickstarter but hadn't realised there was a devlog here. Will be following it here.

Thank you so much blekdar, Franklins Ghost and Alec S.! And thank you for backing Franklins Ghost, it means so much that you were among the people who had faith in my project and helped out.

Since the last time I made a palette swap shader gif there have been some new palettes added:

Fixed GIF of axe special attack from earlier (his face moves more now, informs more to the motion)

Enemies, bosses and portraits:

I really gotta make the time to do a Kickstarter update but I've been really deep in work and it's hard to pull myself away.

I've been looking forward to this game to a slightly ridiculous extreme. Something this oldschool, especially with that lovely gameboy palette, is so far up my alley it might need to be surgically removed. I'm stoked that I was able to contribute to the kickstarter!

I totally understand getting caught up in your work, I am much the same when I get going.

Keep up the fantastic work, Moth!

The textures in that level give me a bit of a Monster Party vibe. I like the little red enemies too.
