Is this game trying to kill me? - is a mix of horror and puzzle game with a first-person view. You are trapped inside a shack deep in the forest, and its owner offers to play a computer game in exchange for your freedom. Except that the hut and the game are much more connected than you might think, and the price of losing is your life!

ABOUT THE GAME

Well, well, another traveler seems to have wandered into my house. It's late at night outside the shack, and the rain's really coming down. But don't worry, I've got an idea to pass the time! You like games, don't you? I have a special one just for you! If you can beat it, there's a reward waiting for you. Lose, and you'll have to stay with me a little longer than you planned.

  • Multiple endings and many ways to die.

This seems like a fun idea and mix of 3D and 2D.  Hand Clap Smiley

I really like the grainy shader, it gives the special look to the 3D elements, and the boss/host entering the scene is great.

If the player will often die in 3D while making mistakes in 2D, you should be careful to avoid repetition, which becomes annoying for less skilled players. Potentially, even subtle changes like the number of spikes protruding from the screen and their placement could improve the impression, not to mention varying the overall cause of death.

Is the 2D world connected with 3D world through some logic and mechanics? Like opening doors in 2D open them in 3D, in the same way that death in 2D world cause death in 3D?

In a 2D game, you won't have to die to the same thing often.
Yes, the game worlds are connected.
