Quote from: Lovecraft
201    Planets form’d of invisible matter.

With most of the functionality of my framework XRhodes completed, this is the perfect time to take it for a test drive. I had a very simple idea for a dead body, I only needed some blood -- this is where the above CPB meme jumps in.

It's an asteroids clone. It has invisible asteroids. It also has an evil fucking twist(ish).

What's done:
- most of the basics (shapes, particles, collision detection & handling, textrenderers), thanks to the framework
- most of the artwork (it's a particle)
- game logics (well) & HUD
- sounds (all organic and free range Well, hello there!)
- transitions and effects
- joypad support
- splashscreen/logo and title
- highscore saving (and an online leaderboard would be nice, but I'm afraid it isn't gonna happen)
- gameplay balancing

What needs doing:
- bugfix (sadly, the mixer subsystem sucks at points)

note: when the link images won't display, there's most likely a new version being uploaded - please try again later.

I'd like to port it to GP2X just for the sake of it - so watch out for that.

try to turn the beam you shoot into your unique light source, so you need to shoot constantly to keep track of the asteroids  Grin

I can definitely envision someone obsessively shooting and trying to fill the screen with light, and going insane with stress. That's a Lovecraft story in the making right there. Wink
