[5] Narrator walks along unfamiliar country road,—comes to strange region of the unreal.
Reserving a spot, so far. 2D mockup is yet to come.

Maybe it's because it's still fresh on my mind, but right off the bat I can't top thinking "What's Mighty Jill doin' here" when I look at the horned one.
But I'm just playing. They all look cool. So the road's gonna be forested, eh?

I love the second character (Cyclopes with the, uh, bats?) very much. Looks like they're going for an afternoon stroll.
I'll be keeping my eye on this one.

Those characters look super tasty, and I think it would be amazing if you kept a similar atmosphere going on with what you have in the picture, the grays and blacks and whites with glowing eyes and stuff, super cool. Definitely keeping my eye on this.

Hey dudes ! Thx for the feedback. For now, my favorite is the last one, with its somehow Miyazaki-ish style. The gameplay should be some sort a of Lemmings-like, where the character keeps walking (while narrating his story, incidentally). It's up to the player to clear the way, and arrange stuff on the road, so that the Narrator won't be crushed, or swallowed, whatever danger arises. Some of the blocks here should be moveable, some can be simply removed, some not ... The gameplay idea is inspired by (stolen to ?) DeadPanda's Tumbledrop. 'Will rely a lot on physics. Not an easy task, all in all Note : those above are Photoshoped mockup, so far

Ah cool, or a bit like the blocky parts of Tower of Goo (at least the blocks are the same dimensions).
Looking forward to seeing something moving.

I love that organic-like factory-ish background in the mock-up.

I like the one in the diving helmet best. I love that organic-like factory-ish background in the mock-up.
Ooh, I didn't notice that until you mentioned it. Cool.

Please, please, to give me a bit of nostalgia of college German classes, make the main music the song of the same name by Schubert (well, okay, only if the pace of the game fits it). It's actually a really good song, though for a game you'd probably want to take out the words.

I dunno. There's nothing like fearing for your life when suddenly the soundtrack yells "But fadda! Fadda!"

hmmm i dont especially like the scratchy grey outlines.. it looked much better before i think. for what they add to readability they take away from style. also.. out of place with the character.

nihilocrat : well, I was considering a music made by C418 out there. He's not especially the Schubert guy, AFAIK.
Annabelle : thx a billion for this suggestion. I was actually really unsure about the gray outlines, and was wondering exactly what you pointed at. 'will take them out asap.

I'm guessing those things with whiteshapes in them are moveable? and 2 of the 3 shapes that have a circle in them must move on an axis.
