I'm making a top down shooter game that isn't a twin stick shooter because those are lame. This game is mainly inspired by Skygunners demanding score system and objective based game play.

Early movement prototype with ugly water


now with enemies that avoid overlapping each other (slightly less then current, enemies are less trigger happy)


I plan on having 3 levels mostly because that sounds like a good number. Currently only have an idea for the first boss that I'm still working on.

Those shadows are looking nice!
So if not dual stick, then you have some other control implementation?
Is it mouse only?

Just mouse, certain actions like boosting or weapon switching (if I have subweapons at all) will use the keyboard.
