I'm using this solution on Linux:
http://blog.ahfr.org/2008/03/making-animated-gifs-with-free-software.html
Don't know if this is the best solution but it works.

Concealed Intent is a turn-based game of tactical space combat.

I've just finished a week working on graphics and performance improvements, so thought I'd share some screenshots this fine Saturday.

Click on them for a larger version.

This image above is my favourite. It shows the planning phase towards the end of the “Extraction” mission. The player is attempting to escape the enemy’s greater firepower (especially that station) by using their drone as a decoy. Thus the players corvette is deploying countermeasures to stay as unnoticeable as possible. Meanwhile the doomed drone is doing the opposite – flying into the mass of red enemy contacts with active sensors blazing. The gif next to it is what happened after clicking “Action” – not bad, most of the enemy ships fired on the drone, but two mines fired (and missed) the corvette.

A couple of others: a battle in an asteroid field; and, trying to persuade some potential allies and getting shot in return

Updated a lot of animation and effects for the lightning based spells in Wizard of Legend this week. Crazy how much of an effect adding a few sprites and adjusting some timings can have!

Guys, I need a bit of help. I want to capture some GIFs of my game, but I couldn't yet find good solution for doing it.
I've tried Camtasia and FRAPS. Camtasia can't capture fast enough (I use 33.3(3) or 40 FPS to make GIF's delay 3 or 4, for browsers to show them correctly), FRAPS generates very large files. Both tools need much work to edit result with GIF-editing tools.
What do you use?

GifCam is pretty sweet. The interface takes a few minutes to get used to, but is pretty light-weight and straightforward when you do realise how it works. I use it together with Photoshop (edit length, try to compress file size by cropping and then export out with save for web). Though, you can only capture in 10, 16 and 33 FPS.

Huge modern glass buildings own the landscape in Abu Dhabi:

As we researched more and more about Arab Emirates we got really curious about this place, especially seeing how big the cultural contrast it represents compared to ours in Brazil. Made us want to visit there, but better to avoid sandstorms and too hot weather!

Horizon Chase TIGSource devblog.

Our Tumblr.

Horizon Chase is a purposal of what an old-school racer could be nowadays. We're revisiting classics we loved in our childhood, as Out Run, Top Gear and Lotus Turbo Challenge. That means bringing back the fast paced gameplay, colourful graphics and responsive controls. We also won't forget the vibrant music, for Horizon Chase we are fortunate to count with the legendary musician Barry Leitch (Composer of Top Gear, Lotus Turbo Challenge and Rush sagas, among many others). Horizon Chase will be a multiplatform game, firstly released for iOS devices as a premium experience (no free to play) and later for PC and consoles. The game will offer a huge variety of scenarios, all inspired on real world locations and allowing for crazy speed. Unlock new circuits, cars and upgrades, all to make a name for yourself in this competition!

Horizon Chase is being developed by Aquiris Game Studio, a Brazilian indie game developer based in Porto Alegre. With 8 years of history and around 40 employees, we have been creating games for a broad range of platforms, from browser to PC and mobile. Our big focus since the very beginning has been on delivering the best artistic and technical quality for all the publishers and clients who hired us. Now with Horizon Chase, the studio is taking a step further into the wild world of self-publishing, with a game that really conveys our passion for classics.
