x2 scale A tileset mockup. It turned out quite nicely, in my opinion. I was inspired to start designing a game using these tiles, and I've started a devlog. Looking for a programmer! What can I say? I love it.

Something I wanted to do in the RPG-Maker 2000. The idea of the battlesystem is still alive, and maybe some day with the help of JS and HTML5... :D Graphics are by me, except the enemy and the chipset. Why not just switch over to RPG Maker XP, VX, or VX Ace? All three support Ruby scripting and would allow you to do something like that within RPG Maker itself.

Because of the Retro Style. But apart from that I don't do RPG Maker stuff anymore. I have my Java with all my nice Framework stuff

The idea was at first, that it would be a space strategy/tactics game, where you are the human leader and fight aliens; but you cannot defeat the alien leader, he is immortal. But if your choices during the game are pious enough, then at one point Jesus will come and reveal the aliens as demons - so all strings in the game with "alien" in it will have "demon" instead - and Jesus becomes a playable unit who cannot take damage and instantly kills all demons around him, and you must guide him to the demon king who is the Devil, whom Jesus will then destroy, ushering in an era of joy and plenty. But it got convoluted along the way, so I'm probably dropping it. I'd still like to make a game about Jesus one day.

I like the mix of space and roman/greek architecture. It's almost as if everything is made out of the powder white stone. Very nice!

Any comments/critique? I'd love to hear them.. I'm really dusty at this.. it's been a long time since i've drawed as much as today. This character style is totally awesome! Some kind of 50s cartoon modern style, i really like it. I do keep seeing him as transparent & full of fluid (milk?). Feel that the top part should be sloshing about, probably because the top of his head is the same color as the background. Love it.

Really cool art and cool idea, but I just have to say: it got convoluted along the way? The idea sounds pretty convoluted to begin with. Not that it's a bad thing, like I said I like the idea, but the concept sounds pretty complex from the start.

Cool. Looks like Secret of Mana. The dark grass and the dithering on the rocks. It could be a little less obvious. Also, darken the area under the trees - it feels odd being bright. Otherwise, I like it! x2 scale A tileset mockup. It turned out quite nicely, in my opinion. I was inspired to start designing a game using these tiles, and I've started a devlog. Looking for a programmer!Cool graphics. I'm not sure how much you can do with just 3 colors, though - even Gameboy had 4. The last pic in the devlog shows that you have four colors.
