Is the error log saved anywhere? If there were errors logged, they'd be left in a stderr.txt file in the application directory. I think it's overwritten each time the game run, though. (also, to reiterate, it's also worth checking the system console to see what that says) I was just hitting random buttons to see if they did anything in the editor.
Ah.

This looks pretty. However, I don't really find it any fun to play.

Yeah, sorry, it's not too fun for me. I thought the "setting the table" level and the Heist chapter were clever, but it's just not my kind of thing. It's nice that it's very minimal, and I think there are people who would really enjoy it ( as seen in this thread ), so keep it up.

Yeah, sorry, it's not too fun for me.
I'm not sure 'fun' is the goal here. Do games have to be fun? Discuss.

Unfortunately, chapter three episode one crashes the game for me.

Is it supposed to crash when you select a level? :/
Maybe it's because I have Vista.

I find it quirky, unsettling and poignant, and that's good enough for me!
However, I also find it crashy. I'm running the Mac version and the application exits the moment I try to start the third chapter. Any idea what could be causing that?

Did it generate a stderr.txt? Posting that might help.

Nope! I checked to see if there were any error or log files and there aren't any that I can see.

Yes, stderr.txt. (should be left in the main directory; it resets itself whenever the game is run, though, so you might have to recrash it). okay, so that didn't appear.
Also, if, when it crashes, you go to the system console (type console from spotlight) and see what errors, if any you can see there relating to it, that would be great.
If neither of these reveals anything, there are other things that can be done...

Here you go:
15/01/09 12:35:05 PM [0x0-0x63063].Mirror Stage[875] FMOD error! (25) Unsupported file or audio format. 15/01/09 12:35:05 PM com.apple.launchd[86] ([0x0-0x63063].Mirror Stage[875]) Exited with exit code: 255
Edit: and so far everything else has run fine -- it's just the first part of chapter three which crashes consistently.

Oh! That looks easily fixable. One sec while I track it down, and thanks for reporting that.

is there a file called 7.ogg in the OGG directory? (it should be about 789kb)

Hmm, I think it depends what we mean by entertaining. Is the Mona Lisa entertaining?

Yeah, there's one in there, and it appears to be a valid Ogg file.

ILC, I've prepared a special build for you here (just the app bundle, 2.2MB); if you could copy that over the one in the MS directory, try loading that level; if it crashes, check out to see if there's either a stdout.txt file in the directory, or if there're additional messages in the system console (that's where they appear for me at the moment, though I don't know why...) ... should look like "PATH TO OGG = blah/blah.ogg"

I also didn't have an stderr generated. Do you know where I go on Windows to find the error?
