Any ideas for other palettes? Sunset/sunrise, maybe? Some clouds would make it easier to add to that mood.
Stormy.

Wow, looks great! How did you do the palette swapping? Is that built into the tools you use? Or do you photoshop -> hue/saturation?

I highly doubt they used a hue/saturation filter to shift the palette, since you would need a much greater level of control to change the entire lighting setup of the scene in a believable way. It's possible they started out with a color balance adjustment layer or the like, and then tweaked from there, but I figure it was mostly done manually. Depending on the program, there are lots of ways to swap the colors once you've chosen them, but if the whole scene were flattened to a single PS layer you could just use the bucket fill with "contiguous" unchecked.

Fucking amazing. Maybe add some foreground fog or something...? And a daylight-rainy palette might be nice, too; a little more blue-greyish than the first palette, I guess?

Oh, I like that - a hero that actually shows some emotion.

Very WIP. I'm still not sure how I want the trees to look. Critique would be nice!

@Rakugaki - Which one(s?) are the updated ones?
@elias - Hah, that's cool.
@GhostBomb - I like the color choices and style you've got there - nice and detailed, but also kinda "cartoony". Square grass tiles reminds me of SNES games, haha.

@happymonster: Thanks!
@JobLeonard: Huh, didn't even think some people would love to see an emotional hero. But seems like they do like them. Good to know! And thanks.
@SolarLune: Thanks!

There's some crazy $#!7 on this page. Allow me to contribute. That's excellent! Why have I never played a roguelike with stuff like this in it?
