I managed to create classes for a hand of cards, a deck of cards, and I'm starting the design document for the game (need it to present to my mentors).
I was coding up a lot of methods into the deck class that made no sense to have, mainly a function to draw all the cards in it... but the cards in the deck are of course face down so it didn't have a function and ended wasting a lot of my time putting in standard graphical elements that weren't needed at all.

@munchy - Cool warriors. I like how different they all are. @thread - It was yesterday, but I implemented a height map.

@FelipeFS - Thanks! Though I didn't make the shadows. They're in the BGE by default. I would probably need to tweak it for the mesh to be the size that I plan for it to be when I'm finished. Also, There's a slight pause at the end of the loop that's not there in practice. :/

SolarLune: did you base that on Mega Man? It's a cheesy walk animation but it's pretty cool. Conker: she's really cute, and I love the hair! Standing like that seems uncomfortable, though. (Unless she's lying down instead of standing, which makes it a little more suggestive?) Today, I started making a double boss. They fire laser beams and summon small gloopy minions. The only thing left to do with it is make the head break off when one dies, and you need to fight that too.

I'd love to follow it- it looks really nice. I can imagine how spectacular all of the "flashiness" looks real-time.

Nah, not really. It doesn't have that upper torso twist that Megaman's run animation has, though the animation's similar. And thanks. I'm not sure how far you are into development, but those ground tiles are a little harsh. I think the inside (inside the outer girder) could be darker. Anyway, cool boss ideas. EDIT: The link to the devlog's in his signature.

Cross post double post-ius reach around! Popped open an old game file where your weapon was a hydraulic cannon, more or less. Pick up items to shoot at zombies. Kinda like a gravity gun I guess.
Thinking about what I should do with it, if anything.
Well, I found an old project I had been looking for a while back. It was a platformer, and you ran around collecting radios, which made messages appear on the screen: 1: "Hello? Can anyone hear me?" 2: "I'm lost in here..." 3: "I fell down a shaft, and my <Z> Jetpack broke." 4: "I'm running low on power... can anyone help?" 5: "Hello?" 6: "If anyone can help me..." There were no more radios to collect after that, nor any more dialogue. Decided to remake their sprites, with the old ones on the left. AVA (Top one) was the starting character, and THOR (bottom) was sending the messages. I don't know how the story would've gone, or how THOR would've came into play. Perhaps you left his broken corpse in the shaft where you found it, perhaps you reactivated him. Who knows? If there is any interest in this, I can upload it. Don't expect anything spectacular.

I hope it's a character, something about it's big box head focusing forward makes it look like it's running with such intent and purpose.

@DustyDrake - Now that I look at it, I don't see the pause. :p It's nice and smooth in Blender, but there is kind of a 'charging' effect that I put into the animation (it's not just a linear run cycle). As for your game, I imagined something like Chroma visually - a dark atmospheric 2D platformer. Anyway, it sounded pretty cool. @Claw - It's the actual character, but he won't be pink like that. Thanks! I'll probably make a devlog once I have more to go on. EDIT: And this is the #2000th reply to this thread! Hurrah!
