Awww most wins I have no idea how I missed that Thanks for pointing that out I play only random draft lately. Hate the sometimes impossible hero matchups of all random.

http://forums.penny-arcade.com/discussion/comment/27792059/#Comment_27792059Looks like Riot are up to their hilarious exclusivity antics again. People at PAX Prime who asked why Dota 2 was not installed on the computers were told that it uses "too much bandwidth" and that they should play League of Legends instead. Note that all other Valve games were allowed but Dota 2 and Starcraft 2 were specifically off-limits. Edit: It seems like the story about bandwidth might be true after all. The other games on that list were played on local servers and if Riot paid for the bandwidth then I guess it's reasonable for them to expect that it will only be used for their own game. Either way, I hope that the PAX organizers find a solution that allows for more games to be played at the event in the future. Edit 2: Yup yup, confirmed to be false alarm by Khoo himself. Nothing to see here, move along.

http://www.dota2.com/firstbloodLAN play, captains draft, backpack rework. Most exciting part for me is that having a high level on your dota account now gives you better item drops.

Since my level is ridiculously high, I might be rolling in loot soon.

My best heros in order are Dragon Knight, Axe, and Chaos knight. I love how axe is strong at all points in the game. People argue that he drops off significantly late game, but if you build him correctly, he can still turn teamfights at 40 minutes +

If anyone wants to play some games in the next couple hours, I'll be on. Solo queueing is fucking awful.

Yeah, some pretty awesome changes coming in this this next version. Valve must be having more of an influence on the games balance since nerfing jungling/trilaning in general seems like something icefrog would absolutelynever do

I think it's a weird change because Viper's lane is already extremely good. In the lane, very few enemies can handle him. He starts having problems in teamfights - that's when you begin to notice that his team contribution is small, aside from being able to slow a single target.
Then again, buffing a hero's strengths rather than removing their weaknesses is a valid approach to balance, too. It certainly promotes diversity.

New Slark ulti is way better than the old one. He can tower dive like a boss now since he is not revealed by anything. It's easily worth the duration/cooldown nerfs to me and it helps his survivability a lot. He is probably my favorite hero in this patch.

Just had a Viper game (all random). He has a serious mana deficiency, now. Although I went an unusual build (vanguard>ac>daedalus), I don't think you can skip wand on him any more. Dunno about Aquila, his int isn't so great that it's gonna help too much, though it's probably okay with a bog-standard manta build. Or maybe it's time to rock Agh's on Viper.

They buffed BS way too much IMO. The tranquil boot buff/nerf is annoying. I really like the Axe buffs though. Its possible to carry with him now with the right build. The vanguard Buff was needed but I don't think it was buffed to the point it needed to be.
