This is post PS4 announcement. So, basically, PS4 requires PS Plus for online game. For future D.S. games that means two (or more) possible paths: 1. Focus on solo experience, multiplayer only for paying people; 2. Solo-only or multi-only game; 3. hack your way out of PS Plus limitation? I guess that's possible but I'm not sure; 4. release on another platform (PC?) - unrealistic; Or maybe they will find a totally new way to have a similar experience.

I would be very surprised if they stopped releasing Souls games for the PC at this point. They must have noticed that there is a huge audience for the game on the PC, so going back to console exclusives would just be a poor business decision, not to mention that it would burn the goodwill that they got from the community after listening to fans and releasing Dark Souls on the PC.
Personally it doesn't really matter to me if it requires PS Plus to play on the PS4 as long as there is also a PC release. I have no intention of buying a stationary console from any company.

if this (rumored?) new game is published by sony the chances of it coming to PC are practically nonexistent

Oh, you mean that "Destiny of Spirits" game on the previous page? Sure. Looking at the screenshot, though, it doesn't really look like it has anything to do with Souls; it's just a thing made by the same developer.

no, the casual vita rpg called destiny of spirits is by q entertainment. the announcement that was posted said something about fromsoft and being ps4 exclusive. so either the announcement is fake or a mixup or sth like that, or this is a different game.

DS2 is coming to PC. They said that day 1. Also that it was being specifically developed with PC in mind rather than it being a port. So its built from the ground up to run well on both consoles and PC.
And just because From Software makes a game exclusive for x console doesn't mean anything. Demon's Souls was exclusive.

I can remember that there was some retro-style called "Souls", made by some Dark Souls fan(s). I was really looking forward to play but I can't find it anymore. Does someone know this game and it's website? That'd be terrrrific.

imo it's not that great as a game, but it's cool that they did it and that it's an actual spectrum rom.

It's nice to play until you get like level 10 and everything becomes a speedrun. Boss enemy was pretty disappointing. But I really dig the visual style.

I'm less concerned with how future Souls type titles would play as much as really you have to pay for MP on the PS4? That's a disappointing cash grab. ): If so, I can certainly say I'm not paying a monthly subscription to get low-level twinked by some dick.

I'm not paying a monthly subscription to get low-level twinked by some dick I just did that today (bought 3 months of Live) and kicking an invading dude off a bridge was worth the price of admission alone.
