We have a backers-only update about new stretch goals and features. We made a lot more of them and put them closer together:

Also we reached our first stretch goal (24,000). For this stretch goal, we introduce the Kobold creature.

I saw that some guy on kickstarter got offended by the inclusion of union as something you have to work against.. (awesome mechanic and an awesome way to make it fit the theme)

But seriously now.. It's a game, it's humor..  Facepalm

I'm very leftwing, which is why I love playing the evil capitalist for a change :D

I heard union is a very serious problem in USA that might be why, people will complain about everything but there is enough serious shit going on that it does matter. Now you can do whatever you want, but it's always something to consider and give a thought, even if you don't adress it directly and immediately. The thought police is the lazyness of habit and comfort zone.

...So!

Bleak's still on vacation. I was supposed to take over things for a bit in his absence... I've been doing a great job, huh?

It's been a great week! 41k(!), plus some nice new sprites over in the updates section for y'all to take a gander at.

Maybe we can still hit 50k by Friday? Crazier things have happened.

We're in the final 48 hours:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1078333633/dwarfcorp/

We're over 200% funded thanks to an anonymous donation from the CEO of a major tech company.

So are you guys implying that Carl Manneh of Mojang donated the $10,000? Because I'd never call Mojang a major tech company...

They've had a huge impact on the gaming industry, it would be fair to call them a major tech company..
And it's probably Notch personally who have invested the funds..

Influential, sure. Major, not so much. And Notch isn't CEO of Mojang. And I wouldn't even refer to it as a 'tech' company -- unless of course I was trying to hide who it was, which doesn't make all that much sense anyway seeing as how the reward for the $10,000 pledge is having your name be the in-game deity. I'm not saying it's not Notch, just that's it a weird way to refer to him... If I didn't know better, that description would fit someone like Gabe Newell much better.
