Stop provoking him. He might go all Robert Pelloni on us, locking himself in his room, faking his suicide and replacing all enemies in Flytrap with indie website editors.

Darius, I'd buy that shirt if I could find a way to have an arrow pointing upwards below the text.

Make "Miyamoto" larger and on top with the rest of the text right below it. Should attract a lot more attention.

You're still forgetting that almost no one outside of game development circles (indie or otherwise) knows who Miyamoto is.

Which makes it all the more cool. Whenever you see someone who gets the joke, you know who you're dealing with.

Matt Burns (AKA Matthew Wasteland) and I teamed up to make a "Miyamoto never had to work for press like this" T-shirt. Perfect gift for the indie dev in your life. I find this a step too far in having fun at someone's cost. Having a thread to bash a freaked out guy is kinda creepy, but hey it's internet and the guy kinda deserved it. You, however, went that extra mile that I find totally unnecessary.

I still want to know if people got to see this game. I want to know if it was a bad idea or not.

Love the shirt.
It should come with every copy of Flytrap.

"By the way, Flytrap was also specifically designed to appeal to both genders. -Adam" Well, the Kirby games must be the king of games for females then. It's looks fine and all, but I don't see how it's the greatest game ever made.

It's not, of course. I downloaded the peer-review build today and played for a solid 5-6 minutes before I got bored of the idea. It's no way as original as he claims and the art direction is laughable. It's not a terribly bad game, it just doesn't stick out, and won't.

Yeah, that's probably the best interview with Derek I've read. Shame the Crazy Flytrap Guy hijacked it.
I think I like the 4cr ones ( one, two) better for some reason.

Well, "Joe", at least I'm not afraid to tell people my last name. How was this comment not mentioned here?

Agreed, I grabbed the peer review yesterday and while it's not the worst game I've ever seen, it doesn't hold my attention for more than a few minutes. It gets pretty annoying once the harder enemy types show up.

Doesn't surprise me at all. From some of his comments it's pretty clear that he's under the false impression that "No flaws=good". You can already see it in the screenshots. The art doesn't look terrible, but it has that late 90's shareware game blandness.

I think if you're going to listen to Cthulu's stories about me, you should know a little about him: he's the fakest person in the world, only caring about money. Yes, he does always act friendly, but it's just that: acting. He's fake.
I laughed when someone said my game's graphics look like late 90's shareware graphics. Are you kidding me?
