Matt Burns (AKA Matthew Wasteland) and I teamed up to make a "Miyamoto never had to work for press like this" T-shirt. Perfect gift for the indie dev in your life.   I find this a step too far in having fun at someone's cost. Having a thread to bash a freaked out guy is kinda creepy, but hey it's internet and the guy kinda deserved it. You, however, went that extra mile that I find totally unnecessary. |

It's not, of course. I downloaded the peer-review build today and played for a solid 5-6 minutes before I got bored of the idea. It's no way as original as he claims and the art direction is laughable.
It's not a terribly bad game, it just doesn't stick out, and won't.

Agreed, I grabbed the peer review yesterday and while it's not the worst game I've ever seen, it doesn't hold my attention for more than a few minutes. It gets pretty annoying once the harder enemy types show up. |

Doesn't surprise me at all. From some of his comments it's pretty clear that he's under the false impression that "No flaws=good". You can already see it in the screenshots. The art doesn't look terrible, but it has that late 90's shareware game blandness.
