The rope is actually what I rely on most of the time, and I still can't get past the tutorial mountain. Pretty awesome game overall, though I'd have loved some sound. Atmospheric music, or windy sound effects, anything.

No! Stupid Mt. Lemonade! Aside from that, this game was pretty neat! Yeah, I think all it needs is some wind ambience, and maybe some falling snowflakes.

Wierd. There should be sounds. In the form of jumping/landing sounds and increasingly loud windy sound loop. I'll have to look into that. Maybe its just too quiet.

I've found a problem. If you press Backspace before of writing anything the generated level is different.

How do you let go of the rope? I can dangle on the rope, but my man never lets go of it. He just hangs there. Forever.

In Mt. Mountain, if you go to the very left of the screen, you fall down into the mountain and then come out at the bottom and have a nice endless fall.

Try Mt. AGBIC. Starts out easy and then basically turns into climbing the underside of a scorpion's tail. Rope a lot on this one.

Awesome, thanks for the comments everyone. And the postcards. I wish I was there; freezing to death in the fog on the top of a nonsensical mountain in the 2nd dimension. I'll have a look at the bugs mentioned. Though I can't reproduce this one. I've found a problem. If you press Backspace before of writing anything the generated level is different.
Are you running the game in the browser or have you downloaded the executable?

My current best achievement:
Ascended to the summit of Mt. Flishblin without the use of the bungee.
This game is awesome.
Also, Mt. Flishblin is probably pretty challenging regardless so give it a go (big gigantic overhang <3)
Jumping is fun.
edit :: Mt. Banished is pretty fun

The bugs I've fixed today:
- Typing backspace before entering the mountain name has no effect on mountain shape. - You can no longer fall forever by going too far to the left.
Other issues may be unavoidable due to slowdown when playing via browser.
Thanks for all the positive comments everyone. And good luck to those who are working round the clock to meet the Saturday deadline!

Love it! It takes a little getting used to, but then climbing the mountains is really satisfying!
I'd love a "Random Mountain" button or a "Last 5 mountains" button to see mountains other people climbed.
A button that lets me rotate much more slowly than the click does, so that I can get carefully position myself when roping.
A little music would be awesome, though as it is I can just play my own music in the background so that's not a big deal.
I'd love to have some kind of an indicator to show me how far I need to go to get the flag. A gauge that depicts my relative position between the bottom and top of the mountain, or a number to indicate how many "Feet" are left to the top.
That's all I can think of! Otherwise this is a very solid game!

Man, I kept trying to play this because I really liked the idea but I just couldn't get behind the actual game part. Until I tried it again just now. Then it just clicked. Really quite fun, although I would like a slower turning mechanism, as SirNiko said. @SirNiko: The wind gets louder as you get closer to the flag. Which is really awesome, by the way. It's a really subtle, clever way to provide vital information while still keeping the game HUDless.

Mt. Minded starts off easy, but the final climb is an incredible vertical spire.
