Is teamwork against da rules? if so, that's a pity, but I'll still probably get something.

It's not against the rules to join a team -
It isn't a competition its a challenge.

The rules are easy :
1) Make a game.
2) Have fun.

No theme! There is a FAQ :
Q: Can I <whatever>?
A: YES! (as long as it fits the rules).

@FuzzySpooN: seems legit.
@Shelby: that was my thought too. Reading comprehension skill goes down late at night though, so thats probably why I thought that might have happened.

Actually, if you read the rules REALLY carefully you'll see that you must:

1. Have at least one person in your game
2. The player must be able to shoot.
3. The player must shoot the first person.

If the first person you see in the game shoots, it's a first person shooter, right?
If you shoot the first person,  it's a first person shooter, right?
If the cameraman shoots pictures of the first person, it's a first person shooter, right?
If the first person parashoots, it's a first person shooter, right?
If you are on a Adam-firing range, it's a first person shooter, right?
If the game is the first game ever where you shoot people, it's a first person shooter, right?
If.

Goon : The rules I posted are the rules of the challenge, interpreted however you want.

The rules you posted do not apply.

Thinking of doing northern Europe meets Australia as terrain for a Vikings vs Bogans FPS, decided to do an environment mockup. Perspective is still broken up the top, always only see it after I've closed the image because I usually go get tea or something before posting it places Droop

Need to try out some proper fields on a bigger canvas but I'll likely have to go 3D for that, early days.

Not sure if I want snow on the mountains, as it could class just a bit too much. The main aim of the game is to have contrasting sides in contrasting environments, with a very tongue in cheek result. Should be interesting.

Can we get a forum for 7DFPS? I'm more likely to work on and off over the next month rather than cram it into a week because of work. Be nice if it turned into a big enough thing to _need_ a forum Smiley

Kind of counting out if the player has to shoot.

so intimidated by this.
but I want to do it.

I'm not quite sure where to set my ambition level though.
I simply don't have a clue what I'll be able to get done, I've no prior experience to gauge such a thing off of.

Still figuring out what sort of tech I'll use.

I'm thinking unity but my concept could do perfectly well raycast.

Anyone have any suggestions?
