Alright, I beat it! Took me an hour or so, there were some pretty hard bits. That was really fun!

feedback:

-one tile wide holes are hard to fit into, and there can be some trouble with walking over them instead of falling into the hole. I dunno how to fix this though, since there are areas that rely on one tile wide gaps that you have to walk over.

-There's a lot of environment variety, but not much enemy variety. Also, there's hardly any difference between alterverse 7 and alterverse 8 blobs. You should have them grow tentacles or soemthing.

-Alter-verse 7 is the weakest, in my opinion, just because it has no music. I think there's supposed to be a heartbeat going on there, but it's too soft to hear well, and it doesn't really add anything to it.

-World 8 is irritating, mostly because you can spend minutes at a time waiting for an appropriate alterverse to show up. Maybe you could give control of which verse you're in to the player? It wouldn't be as frustrating that way, and you could add more difficulty to the level without frustration, since you won't be forcing the players to rely on luck.

-I loved the ending! It was spot on. :D

Excellent game.  Beer!

I don't get it.  Why even write an article about a game if you're going to end up saying that it's not even worth the time?

Yeah this guy probably didn't get past the second level. :I

I had something weird happen on world 6.

It was in the second part, where I was trying over and over again to get those four gems/skulls near the end (which are really nasty to get because it's tricky to fall or jump through a one-square gap). After my hundredth death, the music for X-6 started playing softly, the way it does on an eversion spot. After ten or so more deaths, I accidentally hit the eversion button - and the world morphed into 6-6.

Since that didn't help, I wanted to everse back, only to end up in 6-5. Hitting the key again put me in 6-4, and so forth. Surprise surprise, we got a minus world. After 6-0 (with weird graphics) I found myself at 6--1, per this screenshot. After saving the screenshot to disk I found the game had hung. Weird, huh?

That's very strange. Are you using version 1.5b?

I think the idea of a "world -1" is even scarier than world 8. Concerned

Negative numbers are scarier. That's just science.

I think the idea of a world 10 is even scarier than a minus world.
I mean, they go up in difficulty, right? So a minus world would be easy, but creepy as fuck because it's negative. Or would that mean it's hard? Epileptic

According to the readme, it's version 1.5
I downloaded it from TIGdb yesterday (since that was faster than searching my hard drive  Wink )
