There are two compo entries made with construct. So far I can only say good stuff about it

Do you write code in it or is there some other system like in mmf?

I believe you write Python in it.

There's some drag and drop too, but using Python is wise.

No, Python is broken right now, so it's not wise. Using the event system is the common way of using Construct.

And that is why I didn't try it yet.

Trust me though, the event system isn't bad at all. It's no mass of checkboxes, and it certainly isn't built into objects.

Hm! I suppose I must have been misinformed. Good to know.

Is Construct meant only for 2d games, or can you make 3d games with it as well?

2D only, but there's a 3D-box object you can toy with.

Foolish Hideous, your distractions only come from within yourself. But I accept on my honor as gentleman. I accept your terms, and may the best man win.

The drag'n'drop system has been said to be quite a copy of MMF's one. I don't know if this is true, for I haven't tried Construct. However I've debated about which of these two is better for so many times that I'm really tired of it.
Bleh, we should have a 'friendly duel' -thread or something. I'd love to have 1v1 24h competitions every now and then! But unfortunately I'm such a gentlemanly guy (or you are, who knows), that I seldom get to any real debates over which to duel.
