Just a reminder that our Indie Game Competition's Submission Deadline is April 30th at Midnight EST.
www.2BeeGames.com

We have upgraded our servers so that should fix any submission issues anyone has been having.

I think you should remove the ones with deadlines in april (the first five or so) since it's may.

There was another contest which just finished which I forgot to mention here: the Ohrrpgce Terrible Games contest: http://www.castleparadox.com/ohr/viewtopic.php?t=6194

It just finished and has a bunch of terrible games.

The compo is closed and the voting is up.

I hope this community can show some support to ADVA as last time we only got 39 voters Tongue

http://gamejolt.com/ does not only have a (sub)forum dedicated to their contests, but also has specified to be going to run regular contests, might be worth adding to the list of places that tend to organize contests.

After a Speedhack free 2008 Allegro.cc is asking for what dates would work best for possible contestants. Looks like it will happen some time in July or August. The announcement was made on the http://allegro.cc news page.

For those of you not familiar with Speed Hack. It is a programming competition that requires the use of the allegro C library. The event starts at 12:00 UTC Friday and ends 12:00 UTC on the following Monday. Code reuse is encouraged. To keep people from starting early the theme and type of game to be made are generated at 12:00 UTC Friday, when the contest begins. Contestants are also encouraged to keep a development blog to chronicle their decent into insanity.

Just wanted to let you guys know that the www.2beegames.com competition is in its Final Round of voting.
Only 4 games left vying for the prizes.

THE FINAL FOUR:

Auditorium. AudioVisual brilliance.

Heresy War: Light on the heresy, heavy on the war (in space, no less).

Save the Planet: All the pretty colors!

Storm: Simple and great, rain or shine.

The race is tight so make your vote count.

I would enter every single Poppenkast game competition, but I got banned from the forums, so y'know.

And it really sucks how a lot of other competitions have restrictions on what programming languages you can use. Where's all the GML love, peeps? Sad

I am sure most of us go to the Escapist for our mainstream gaming fix. Anyway I noticed they were starting up a game making competition around their star reviewer Yahtzee. The link to the contest guideline page is here:

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/contests/register/stonkinggreatgame_09

It seems to be a flash only competition, but the magazine will be providing art and music assets.
