Wow! This is looking quite nice! Consider myself intrigued . It has that 2D/3D depth. Reminiscent of a favorite game of mine, Sword and Sworcery. Your title, too, is very catchy! It rolls off of the tongue nicely

Do you have anyone working on music for this?
as regards the music, we are in contact whit very good composers, but it's too early to announce the official one This looks beautiful. Is it completely 2D? It really looks like lo-poly 3D sometimes!
yeah, aside some particle effect, the game is completely 2D. Anyway we use normal maps to calculate how the light hit the sprites and, along with multiple sidescrolling layers, it gives that 3D feeling

gorgeous art (Praise the sun \o/) SHARE your poetry with other players - Similar to Demon Souls, share a haiku with players that pass through the same spot curious about this mechanism. How are you going to handle players who abuse the system by using profanities? Yeah, I was going to ask the same thing. Maybe the game will have a pre established variety of words/phrases to choose from. The player would create the poems by combining the available words/phrases. On second thought, we will first ask valve about their policy. Every message will be identified by the author's steam ID, so I think they will allow us to implement the way we want. On the worst cade scenario, we are going to use exactly like dark souls.

Hey! Your game looks awesome, I'm following you on twitter so I don't miss updates :-)
I'm quite interested about how combat will work, it's usually hard to design deep combat on 2D sidescrollers
Cheers!

About the combat: There are 2 main mode, the free mode for movement and the combat mode. The combat mode approach the camera to the battle, and you are able to lock the sight on target making the movement relative to the enemy ( so u can walk backward). There are 3 types of attacks, a vertical one to hit the area near the player, an horizzontal one to hit a wider but smaller area, and a thrust attack while charging an enemy.

The locking option is awesome. Especially considering it's a side-scroller!
Great idea :D

Blimey! That looks lovely. Following!
I noticed a sneak peek at a mechanic at the end of the video, where you control the orb. Are you free to move that all around the environment?

Yes! But it will only clear certain paths. It will also have various other effects on the environment.
