actually the top hat guy was better in '08 because he was actually leaning on the cane not awkwardly holding it. The arm anatomy is still off on the big guy, the biceps is allright I guess but the forearm doesn't quite work that way. You're off with the brachioradialis (if that's what it was called : O) and give the man some knuckles, how do you punch someone with no knuckles, eh? I did a quick and dirty paintover:  Made the deltoid bigger (should probably be even bigger in fact), made the tricepts bulge out a bit more and fixed up the forearm anatomy. Also moved his other arm away from the body a bit, it was sort of squashed. |

@1up: I dun like the new arm... dunno, I'm not an artist so my critique probably means sh!t, but I dont like his knuckles either, they make his hand look like a spatula that chipping at the end... I liked the direction this arm was going personally, of course with shaping of the hand necessary, but this arm seems more in tune with the rest of the style of the sprites ( which is over exaggerated and not anatomically correct, but works great for the style you are going for) + the individual knuckles looked weird to me....of course, just my opinion and maybe i'm the only one who shares this feeling, i just wanted to say... |

I don't know... I'm more partial to the newer arm, it's shaded and formed much better.

Flippin' awsome walk cycles, ChevyRay. Here is something I had worked on a while ago, and I really don't care for it anymore knowing that the light source and anatomy are pretty messed up. I could take suggestions/edits of any sort and see if I could improve it by following advice. The legs and feet really drove me up the wall for the most part.   |
