Hmm.  How satisfied are you with the texture on the skullkart?  I have mixed feelings about it myself.  It's good, but feels maybe a little flat to me.  I'm not sure though.  I just thought that it would be better if I said it than if I didn't.

it does look a little bit flat. If I bumped up the levels of the AO layer on the actual skull part it would probably feel a little better.

Or I could actually calculate some lighting.

Wow it's all really awesome!

But seriously... I don't want 159 something different headgears and whatnot.
I just want to play the game. Wink

too bad, we have decided to scrap the game portion of the game in order to make a paper doll dress up app.

we really really want to have some kind of running beta, open or closed - by the IGF deadline so that judges will have people to play with online... so that is our goal. It is going to be quite a race.

Ma..mario kart...online...

Is there going to be rpg elements or anything?
ex. as you play more your "garage" levels up and you gain access to more maps/customization.

not really. we had a lot of cool ideas for stuff like that - but since we want to embrace custom content as much as possible, which includes maps and gameplay modes - it would be pretty easy to cheat whatever system we set up. But we do plan on having achievements and stats. Maybe we could do something simple with that, like having an item be associated with some of the achievements, so you can only wear them once you earn it.

Shot of the main menu - we have started giving a build of the garage part of the game to artists who are already working on custom items. The main menu displays your current character on it. This is my character at the moment, Baron Von Evelsok.

I'm glad Medieval  Gentleman

I have been spending a lot of time polishing up the tracks in our game in preparation for the race mode that Brian is working on. One of the fun parts is adding particles to the level, here is a shot of the mine from Spaghetti West with lots of glowy particles.
