You stagger around the place for a bit, attempting to steal a key from a zombie! Unfortunately the attempt fails, as there's not actually any zombies in the room with you. You manage to cut your hand with the scalpel while you're at it, though. It starts to bleed at an alarming rate.
Ignoring this, you set out to paint. You don't have any paint with you, but you won't let trivialities like that stop you; your hand is conveniently enough covered in some red wet sticky stuff, which is perfect for fingerpainting a work of art onto the nearest wall. You're getting extremely dizzy now though, so your fingers slip as you paint your masterpiece. By pure chance the result of your handiwork is an ancient occult symbol of unknown origin or purpose.
The symbol starts to glow eerily as you collapse to the floor, clutching your tormented heart.
