The final game will be rendered 3D not painted but otherwise this captures the vision perfectly. Awesome!

Trying out a tileset I made. NES NTSC color palette. I'm not too happy with the lack of contrast in the upper right corner.

A little cliche RPG forest mock-up. I'll make it into a game someday, I swear.

yeah, trees look more like they are wobbling, then waving in the wind^^ otherwise it looks ok. some parts are good, some not so much. deer and stone with the lizard are pretty cool. the water kinda pops out too much, it looks like it's on the top of the ground due to the shadows. maybe you should just have a shadow on the upper side? . the trunk of the tree is the only thing that has a dark outline.

a wip of my splatoon art contest entry. the bigger sprite I made first before realizing that it would be way to big for the screen size

It's a bit unfortunate that there's nowhere for the goop to actually go, if you don't want it to be several pixels thick.

jsepia, that's gorgeous! The colors are really nice, and it's a good solid tileset you've got there. I want to play around in that place and solve puzzles! and Lan Auren, I love how that looks! The way you did the character looks really nice! I appreciate the dark shadows on the bottom surfaces of the character, but no outline on the top parts, very professional. The clouds and foliage are nicely done too, but I'm not sure about the docks, something seems off about them to me.

Hey thanks Rakugaki! Yeah I'm not entirely sure about the docks myself. There's definitely something off about 'em. I'm thinking it might be the support logs. Not only do they look odd just in general, but the ones in the back are much too small compared to the ones in front, which might be causing some weird perspective issue. I dunno...
