Hey, should the music guy take care of sounds? I mean, we could use SFXR but someone will have to do it. I think that a good way of working would be like this codedude delivers code + placeholders -> graphicdude delivers -> musicdude delivers fx/music -> codedude integrates/polishes code -> graphicdude polishes details -> musicdude polishes details. OK: I've finished the game. I'm eager to see my multimedia companions' work Regards -Martín

Programmers should go ahead and use SFXR to make sound effects.

I thought I'm done. Then I revisited this topic and there's 640x480 background and an obstacle sprite added. It's okay with me, no worries. The next edition, *cough* for it will happen I think*cough*, should be more structured though. I try to limit the amount of time I spend on these fora :D

The thing about experiments is to try and see what happens. After some feedback the things changed a tiny bit. There's no lack of structure in that.
At any rate, I think this experiment should be about sharing, not an obligation, either if you spend more or less time on this forum.
Good luck -Martín

Sign me up for a song- it's pretty crappy, but I saw the music section to be a tad lacking.

I have the game engine working more or less! Unfortunately, the level layouts are kinda too complex to do by hand. I have to make a level editor if I want any content, but I don't think I can get it done in the given timeframe.
I'm gonna be super-late to the party it seems. I'll keep at it!

I urge you to PM when I have to submit my music. I visit this forums regularly but I don't visit this topic that much often.

Will do. Also, that would be this Sunday. I have the game engine working more or less! Unfortunately, the level layouts are kinda too complex to do by hand. I have to make a level editor if I want any content, but I don't think I can get it done in the given timeframe.

Try to at least have something playable by Sunday (or a few days later).

It seems that I'll be offline this weekend so I'm now uploading the finished graphics to some webhosts. I'll pm malec2b with the links. Sorry for starting things before the deadline... I will be online around 11AM GMT+0 on Monday though.
edit: d-uuuuh... I'm pretty sure I sent it but my oubox is empty... Did you get it?

The suspense is killing me So was there enough music? Glyph volunteered one song, and Miro and sloopygoop both did two, right?

I'm not sure what to do with my code. I think I would need to match the assets to the code (filepaths and such) wouldn't I? Or I can just post what I have now...
really not sure.

Guess we'll have to wait for malec to tell us what to do.
I think all the musicians ended up doing two songs except Glyph...which means there's a surplus!
Actually, I really hope my two tunes go into two different games, because they're pretty different. But whatever.

Aquin, I believe it would be better to release the finished game ("code") with the assets already integrated.
