If you have (many) dreamcast like me you would know that number one problem was gd lens dying on you. DC was a dream for real with many good games and emulation still not that great. So this is god send, it allow to replace the gd reader with a usb port to load DC game image!

WHAT!!!!!  My Word!

WHAT!!!!!  My Word!

WHAT!!!!!  My Word!

Quote
Ladies and gentlemen, meet Satoru Iwata, global president of Nintendo, former acting president of HAL Labs. When he was younger, he disassembled the programs for his home computer by writing down the memory dumps by hand. Mind you, this was before printers. Among his achievements as a game programmer, he...

... ported the battle code of Pokémon Stadium to the Nintendo 64 despite not having any access to crucial documents. And he did it all in a week.
... programmed EarthBound (from scratch) in its entirety, also with remarkable speed. At the time, the project was very close to being jettisoned due to the unmanageability of the original coding. The coding itself is a huge scripting language, so complex that, theoretically, the text system alone could be used to write an emulator, if altered somewhat.
... personally compressed Pokémon Gold and Silver, which filled the cartridge despite still being half-finished. That's the reason the setting for Pokémon Red and Blue was included (with only two locations removed) in the games—there was that much space left after he was done.

WHAT!!!!!  My Word!

I turn my back to internet and nintendo go crazy  No No NO

indie history

agree with everything except calling all boardgame designers "indie". commercial boardgame designers are way more publisher dependent than videogame devs. thats the reason why kickstarter has worked so extremely well for boardgames while videogame kickstarters often fail spectacularly.

Satoru Iwata can now be the Chuck Norris of console fanboys.

Duck Hunt Dog as a playable character is actually pretty rad. I like that they're trying to defy expectations with weird characters.

I haven't bought a handheld system since the DSi, and I've been considering getting a 3DS. Looks like waiting was a good choice!

Are they going to stop producing 3DS software and go with all "New 3DS" software, or do they intend to have a limited list of "New 3DS" software and most software going forward will still be compatible with everything?

This has the potential to get extremely confusing, especially for people who may have just bought a 2DS and now are faced with obsolescence at least in part.

Trying to find a list of "New 3DS" games is proving impossible because I can't figure out how to tell google the difference between those and merely "new" 3DS games.

Apparently it's not really our concern for the moment, as it's not slated to be released in the rest of the world until 2015.

It's kinda hard to tell, the feed was in jap and speak none of it, but at the xenoblade reveal it's like they mention the increased speed as an enabler for new games, so it does looks like a new console in disguise, like iphone 1,2,3,4,5

The second stick is kinda weirdly positioned, but the old start/select layout is back and the button coloration is sweet so I'm sold. Really wish it would release around the time the new Smash comes out, though.
