Yeah there is a chance, but it'd be later on. I'm building it in Game Maker 8, which cannot export to Mac, but Game Maker Studio is able to export to Mac. I eventually want to purchase Game Maker Studio for Mac and Linux, but that takes money! haha. I will get it there eventually though!

I think thats most likely the VM and not my game, because I'm getting reports with my updated client that its running at 60fps no problems. But I'll wait for more people to decide what to do. Sorry to hear that you're having issues with it though

Well not sure there, usually its fine unless the game is really demanding. I realize your using game maker, and so doing OpenGL accelerated games isn't a fair comparison (plenty of those, including my own run fine and fast) so I tried out spelunky the game maker version, and it seemed to run quite fast and natural. Running fraps with it reports a steady 60 fps for instance.

Yeah its really strange. Do you maybe enable vsync or something? I noticed your game is only using like 8% of my CPU as well, which seems like it would have plenty more cycles available for software rendering. (Spelunky uses around 18%)

Actually I turned off vsync, and right now the games super tiny, so I think 8% is fine, it uses like 25% with vsync on though More reports that its running perfect at 60fps! Its irritating that I can't figure out why it won't work for you.

Alpha 0.0.2 DownloadIn this version the code is much more polished and optimized for 60fps, and sprinklers are semi-functional, as you can buy them from the store for 500coins, but you can stack them right now on top of each other on the map, which is just a waste. The game has no town or anything right now, but you can sell crops and then buy more stuff, and keep doing this, so its kinda cool that I hit a playable point in the game, just not much to do at all. Also seasons are programmed into the game, but they aren't actually being used yet, and you can't see them, but all of the code is there. My plan now is to add crops for each season, and finish up the farm system completely, so I can move onto something else!

Oh here is an interesting thing.. the game still runs at like 20 FPS in my XP VM, yet in my Win 7 VM with the exact same specs as the XP one, it runs at 60 FPS steady. Could be a screwy VM thing, but do you know if anyone else has ran it on XP? Might be an XP specific issue.
