Hey is there people here who know about different type of tracking technology? I know optical tracking (IR and RGB) but is there other we can look for? I'm looking for something like PlayStation move type tracking ...

I have played like no games but I got the chance to play a bunch of DKC on the original console (and Lost Vikings, back when Blizzard still made interesting games) for a period of my life (my own first console was N64 so I didn't grow up with it) and it was pretty neat.

Something I always found strange about The Lost Vikings is that you can keep playing if you lose a viking, but you can't actually beat the level if you don't bring all the vikings to the exit. So it allows you to continue while knowing that you have entered an unwinnable state.

It's true for both games. It's a good design decision since it means if you get 3/4 of the way through a level and lose a viking you can still practice parts at the end before you restart and go all the way through again.
I hold out hope that somewhere there exists an alternate Earth where MMOs never became popular and Blizzard kept making Lost Viking games.
