mk64 '96 dkr '97 ctr '99
crash happen like years of optimization later
Note its more fair to compare it to rogue squadron 64 which had full rez, open world and multiple local light

also i like how tig is pretty much immune to modern day consoles wars but loves fighting console wars from the 90s. there have been multiple snes vs megadrive threads during my time here. are we really this old? ![Cry](https://forums.tigsource.com/Smileys/derek/cry.gif)

My first home console was a Wii because my parents were too cheap to buy a Gamecube. (they hate video games and electronics in general)
I did grow up with a GBA and all of Nintendo's mobile consoles since then however. Good times.

CRAZY NINTENDO SPECULATION TIME
remember those aren't to actually predict Nintendo but use it as a brainstorm of potentially interesting idea
What if they get next gen motion controller, somerthing that looks like a cute brass knuckle but detect finger position for the whole hand! Direct interaction with haptic feedback.
One idea I was toying with during evaluating my own controller was a haptic ball for motion detection, that used "sound speaker" tech to have a "surface vibration array" that allow you to feel the world. Basically a speaker use magnet to move a membrane up and down, you can feel teh vibration when you hold one, what if we had multiple one distributed on a surface? and those vibration take adventage of gyro tech to be consistent spatially despite hand rotation? Plus they can also move air under certain configuration so you don't need direct contact to create "feel". It's also very precise and leverage existing tech (sound pipeline)

i had a gameboy, then a n64. SUPER MARIO 64 (aka the best) was what turned me into a "gamer". actually got a cheap used snes AFTER i already had the n64. there was a pawn shop close to my primary school that had a large selection of Snes games for cheap. i super don't like the n64 banjo games though (nuts and bolts owns) i replayed banjo tooie last year and came to the conclusion that it's a great game if you're into complex nonlinear level design. the original banjo-kazooie turns into a pure grind partway through though.

within less than a year after I started working I owned three SNES units (don't ask) (I wanted to perform a 60hz mod on PAL units but it's not possible on every revision of the board and there's no way to tell without opening)

Elite with a truck? I want to play this game. Is there a best iteration in the series?!
ETS 2 is the one i'm talking about. never played 1 but from what i understand 2 is the same except bigger and better. you should get ETS2 when it goes on sale on steam (which is often) Buying now at 50% off - thanks for the tip.

euro truck 2 is one of those team games that people like ironically only they don't because they actually like it unironically but the people that don't like it unironically or don't play it think they like it ironically but that's now how they like it.

Euro Truck Simulator makes me pine for my daily commute. Maybe I don't have the right controller or whatever, but after trying to park for 10 minutes, I decided that this was not the right game for me. Now I need to cleanse the palette with Arkham Mordor.
